X Platform is an industrial automation platform from EXOR International, developed to connect the key elements of modern automation within one aligned environment. It combines industrial hardware, the JMobile software layer, and Corvina cloud access to meet the needs of machine builders, system integrators and users in factory, process and infrastructure systems.
X Platform enables local HMI visualization to move beyond an isolated system component and become the foundation for device connectivity, edge data processing, remote monitoring, service and the development of digital services.
It is particularly useful in projects that need to grow gradually. A system can start with a local HMI panel or industrial PC and later expand to an IoT gateway, edge processing, cloud connectivity, remote access and data analytics, without having to replace the complete architecture.
X Platform is not a single product, but a unified EXOR International architecture that connects hardware, software and cloud functions into one industrial environment.
Within the X Platform approach, users can combine HMI panels, industrial PCs, gateway and edge devices, JMobile software for visualization and communication, and the Corvina cloud platform for remote access, monitoring and system management.
The core value of the X Platform solution is that visualization, communication, data processing, remote access and service do not operate as separate elements, but as interconnected layers of the same architecture. This gives users greater flexibility, better control over data, and a simpler path for system development over time.
The software layer of the X Platform solution is based on JMobile Suite, a software environment for developing HMI applications, communicating with industrial devices and connecting systems in multi-vendor, multi-protocol and multi-device environments.
JMobile enables the creation of user interfaces, connection to PLCs and other industrial systems, local visualization, data exchange, and preparation of the system for further development toward edge and cloud functions.
For users, this means that an HMI panel is not only an operator screen but can become an important part of a wider architecture for data collection, communication, and process digitalization.
The hardware layer of the X Platform solution includes EXOR HMI devices, industrial PCs, gateway and edge platforms, as well as embedded computing systems based on ARM architecture.
This hardware layer can be used at different system levels, from a local machine and production line to the field and edge levels, and up to more complex SCADA and monitoring applications.
This approach makes it possible to select the right device according to the real needs of the project, without limiting the future development of the system.
The cloud layer of the X Platform solution is based on the Corvina platform, developed for industrial environments with a focus on reliability, security, scalability, and remote access.
Corvina enables remote monitoring, access to systems, diagnostics, and service support, which is especially important for machine builders and users with equipment installed across multiple locations.
For projects with specific requirements related to security and infrastructure control, an on-premises deployment behind the user's firewall is also available.
X Platform supports data processing at the edge level, close to the machine, line, or process.
Edge processing reduces latency, enables faster system response, and reduces the load on central or cloud systems. At the same time, data can be used for performance monitoring, equipment analysis, deviation detection, and the development of more advanced service models.
In practice, this means that machine data is not used only for displaying on the HMI screen, but also for better insight into system operation, maintenance, optimization, and decision-making.
X Platform is designed to follow system growth and changing technological requirements.
It can be used in smaller installations as well as in more complex industrial environments. Users can start with a basic HMI solution and then gradually expand the system toward edge processing, remote access, cloud functions, and analytics.
This approach reduces investment risk and allows automation to develop in line with the real needs of the project.
Interoperability is one of the important advantages of the X Platform solution, because industrial systems have evolved over many years and often include equipment from different manufacturers. The platform is intended to connect different devices, systems, protocols, and automation levels.
This is especially important in modernization projects, where existing PLCs, legacy industrial systems, and new IoT components need to be connected into a single functional architecture.
The X Platform approach is intended for an industrial environment where secure communication, access control, and infrastructure protection are highly important.
Solutions can be designed with encrypted communication, controlled user access, and an architecture that takes the requirements of industrial systems into account.
It is particularly important that projects can be implemented in the way that best fits user requirements, including cloud access or on-premises deployment, in line with the user's security policy and infrastructure.
Edge data processing directly on site enables faster system response, lower latency and better use of local resources. At the same time, relevant data can be forwarded to higher system levels, a cloud platform, or analytics tools.
The combination of local processing and cloud access enables fast machine-level response while also providing a broader view of system operation.
X Platform enables data from the industrial environment to be used not only for displaying the current state, but also for analyzing the operation of equipment and processes.
Data from machines, lines, and devices can support performance monitoring, deviation identification, better maintenance planning, and the development of more advanced customer support models.
This creates room for condition monitoring, predictive maintenance, and other digital services that increase the value of the delivered system.
X Platform is modular and can be adapted to different types of projects, industries, and levels of complexity.
Users can choose the components they need in the current project phase and later add new functions and connectivity levels.
This is especially useful in projects where digitalization is implemented in several phases.
X Platform is developed as a long-term foundation for industrial automation.
This approach helps the system remain relevant when project requirements change, when the number of devices increases, or when local automation expands toward remote monitoring, analytics, and digital services.
For users, this means greater investment security and a clearer path for further system development.
X Platform is most suitable for projects where HMI visualization is not an isolated system component, but the starting point for connecting machines, collecting data, enabling remote service, and developing digital services further.
It is particularly relevant for machine builders who want to deliver their equipment with a modern user interface, secure remote access, the ability to monitor the installed base, and a foundation for developing service models.
X Platform is also useful in the modernization of existing systems, when legacy PLCs, different protocols, new IoT components and cloud services need to be connected without replacing the entire existing architecture.
It also makes sense in projects where the user wants to develop the system gradually, from local control to a connected, scalable, and service-oriented solution.
