Workshop: Electrical Design with WSCAD – Cabinet Engineering

Cabinet Engineering is one of the six disciplines of the WSCAD software. The design of the basic schematics for a cabinet can be done using elements from an existing project. An electrical cabinet designed in WSCAD can be exported in formats that are suitable for opening the project in other 3D programs.

The filling degree of the cable ducts is shown in 3D and the generated data can be used via interfaces to create wires, wire sets, cabinet doors, or mounting plates.

WSCAD has also developed an AR application. By scanning a QR code in the cabinet, the electrical plan of the cabinet can be accessed, or an insight into the datasheet and a 3D view of a specific part.
