We visited the H-Bridges team and supported the work of future engineers

21.07.2026

We had the pleasure of visiting the H-Bridges team of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the University of Belgrade and Laboratory 19, where we got to know the students' work, their project this year and the way they developed solutions for the prestigious international competition in the field of innovative and energy-efficient solutions (IFEC), organized by IEEE.

H-Bridges is a student team that brings together young engineers interested in power electronics, electric vehicles, renewable energy sources and smart energy systems. During the one-year work cycle, team members independently go through all phases of solution development, from the idea and design, through the creation and testing of the prototype, to the technical documentation and presentation of the project in front of an international jury.

This year, the team developed a bidirectional on-board charger for electric vehicles, which, in addition to charging the battery, also enables the return of energy from the vehicle to the power grid. This vehicle-to-grid concept has an important role in the development of smart energy systems, because electric vehicles become an active part of the network and can contribute to a better balancing of production and consumption of electricity.

The H-Bridges team already has a number of significant successes in international competitions, including first, second and third place awards, as well as special awards for technical report, presentation, innovation, performance and educational contribution.

We are glad that we had the opportunity to support their work by donating SATEC and RealWear equipment. SATEC solutions enabled students to measure, monitor and analyze electrical quantities, while RealWear hands-free devices contributed to easier access to technical documentation, communication during work and documentation of engineering activities.

We believe that it is particularly important for future engineers to encounter technologies used in real industrial and energy systems during their studies. This is precisely why we see this cooperation as a good example of connecting academic knowledge, practical work and modern industrial solutions.

We wish the H-Bridges team much success in all future projects and look forward to future cooperation.
